DC Shoes was founded in 1993 by Ken Block and Damon Way (brother of Danny Way), originally they started a clothing company Droors Clothing, and then decided to start selling skateboard shoes, under the name DC Shoes which is the initials of Droors Clothing. And if you ever wondered what the 43 stood for, D is the fourth letter of the alphabet and C is the third, hence 43. And now they are using 07, you guessed it 4 plus 3. DC makes some of the most technical, fashion forward skate shoes in the industry, with riders like Rob Dyrdek, Josh Kalis, Devine Calloway, Danny Way, Colin Mckay, Sean Malto, Brian Wenning, Ryan Smith, Lindsey Robertson, and Ryan Gallant you would have to make good skate shoes and DC does just that.
